The Founder of the ashrama Maharaj ji Swami Sarvatmananda passed away on 5th Dec 2018. The ashrama is now under Sri Sarada Math and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission since April 2020. It has now been decided by Sri Sarada Math to take over the financial management of the Mission, effective 1st Jan 2021. The revered head Mataji is Pravrajika Swatantaprana. The details for contributing to the ashrama are provided under the Appeal section.

The twin mottos of the ashrama are the spiritual practices and service to the people, esp. poor and underprivileged as living manifestations of the divinity. The ashrama works on the basis of the guiding principles of Swami Vivekananda that "Each soul is potentially divine" and "He who loves and serves all beings, verily serves the Lord"
